Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA was created 75 years ago and is mandated to provide assistance and protection to more than 5.9 million registered Palestine Refugees. Its mission is to help Palestine Refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip achieve their full human development potential, pending a just and lasting solution to their plight. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA services encompass education, health care, relief and social services, camp infrastructure and improvement, protection and microfinance.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA is looking to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Member States to:

  • Reaffirm their political commitment and solidarity towards the Palestine Refugees.
  • Mobilize international support and advocacy for the Agency’s work and unrelenting commitment to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ values, including its critical role in providing humanitarian assistance in the context of the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and increased violence in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
  • Address the Agency’s funding situation that is currently unpredictable and unsustainable to avoid recurrent funding crises.
  • Safeguard Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA’s critical role in the Gaza Strip both now and within the framework of transition, including to ensure that the children in Gaza can resume learning as soon as possible.
