Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT Annual Report 2025

The 2025 Annual Report highlights a complex global terrorism threat and the need for coherent, effective multilateral action. Amid Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ80-related financial constraints, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT strengthened United Nations counter-terrorism efforts by enhancing coordination, aligning policy with programmatic delivery and strengthening evidence of results. Engaging over 13,000 practitioners across 170 Member States, the Office advanced integrated, field-oriented capacity-building approaches tailored to national needs, while upholding human rights and advancing gender equality. With stronger partnerships, greater transparency, and a focus on measurable impact, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT continues to support Member States in addressing terrorism and violent extremism conducive to terrorism. The Report reflects growing confidence in Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµOCT, with a record 32 partners contributing USD 65.9 million to the United Nations Trust Fund for Counter-Terrorism.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy
The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ General Assembly adopted by consensus the on 8 September 2006. The strategy is a unique global instrument to enhance national, regional and international efforts to counter terrorism. The General Assembly reviews the Strategy every two years, making it a living document attuned to Member States¡¯ counter-terrorism priorities.
