Clashes and shelling prevent distributions<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

"No Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA distribution of humanitarian assistance was carried out in Yarmouk on 19 June, following continued clashes and shelling in and around Yarmouk overnight. This is the twelfth consecutive day that Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA is unable to carry out any distribution inside Yarmouk. <\/p><\/div>\n

"Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA is gravely concerned that armed hostilities continue to disrupt critical humanitarian operations in Yarmouk, particularly Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA's food distributions. Since May 14th, and owing to interruptions in food distribution, only 350 Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA food parcels have been delivered inside Yarmouk, where over 18,000 civilians of Yarmouk remain trapped in desperate conditions.<\/p><\/div>\n

"The Agency urges all concerned parties to restore Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA's daily distributions of  food and other humanitarian assistance to help address what remains a dire humanitarian crisis for the civilians of Yarmouk.  Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵRWA will continue to advocate for continuous, substantial and safe humanitarian access to Yarmouk, and stands ready to provide a wider range of assistance to civilians there."<\/p><\/div>\n
