A smaller number of<br \/>\nHezbollah rockets were fired from various locations. The IDF continued the<br \/>\nshelling and aerial bombardment of the south, but also on a comparatively<br \/>\nlower scale. Early this morning, the IDF withdrew to the Israeli side from the<br \/>\nLebanese territory in the area of Marwahin in the western sector. The IDF is<br \/>\nstill present on the ground inside Lebanese territory in the area of Marun Al<br \/>\nRas in the central sector. There were reports of limited reinforcements in<br \/>\ntheir presence in that area.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\nThere were fifteen incidents of firing close to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ positions from the Israeli<br \/>\nside during the past 24 hours, including a direct impact from an artillery shell<br \/>\ninside a Ghanaian battalion position in the Marwahin area. No casualties were<br \/>\nreported, but there was some material damage. Thirty two Lebanese civilians<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">from the village of Marun Al Ras, who took shelter inside a patrol base of the<br \/>\nObserver Group Lebanon (OGL) for the last three days, decided to leave the<br \/>\nÄ¢¹½ÊÓÆµ position at their own will this morning, and relocate north. In the last<br \/>\nthree days, this position suffered direct hits by seven artillery shells on two<br \/>\ndifferent occasions.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\nThere are reports of local civilian population leaving their villages and towns<br \/>\nin the eastern sector from the border villages of El Addaisseh, Hula, Mays al<br \/>\nJabal, Kafr Kila, Markaba, as well as from Marjayoun and Ibil as Saqy in the<br \/>\nlast 24 hours.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\nThe Lebanese government formally requested Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµIFIL to provide<br \/>\nhumanitarian escorts and assist in the relocation of the local civilian<br \/>\npopulation from some villages. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµIFIL has been in contact with the IDF in<br \/>\norder to ensure safe passage and to facilitate safe and orderly evacuation of<br \/>\nthe civilians from these areas.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\nAll Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµIFIL positions in the area of operation remain permanently occupied<br \/>\nand maintained by the troops.
