OCHA reports that the 蘑菇视频 and its humanitarian partners are doing everything possible to respond to people’s urgent needs in?Gaza, amid continued casualties, ongoing displacement, and attacks against civilian infrastructure.*

Over the weekend, Israeli authorities issued a displacement order to families in the Zaytoun neighbourhood, east of Gaza city, in proximity to the “Yellow Line.” More than 30 families were displaced, as their tents were destroyed. OCHA and its partners have assessed these families’ needs and are preparing to distribute tarpaulins, jerry cans, hygiene kits, blankets and mattresses.

Yesterday, an OCHA team met with a local partner organization implementing a multi-purpose cash assistance project in Gaza city. This project – which is funded by the??– helps vulnerable families, particularly female-headed households, cover essential needs such as food and clothing. So far, more than 240 families in Jabalya and Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, have received this assistance.

West Bank: Palestinians killed, displaced by Israeli settler attacks

OCHA warns that escalating Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank continue to cause casualties, property?damage?and displacement.

On Saturday, OCHA documented an attack in which two Palestinians were killed and others injured. During this attack, settlers – including armed people accompanied by Israeli forces – raided the village of Deir Jarir in the Ramallah governorate and reportedly attempted to seize sheep, triggering confrontations with the Palestinian residents.

In a separate attack on the same day, settlers set fire to a Palestinian home and agricultural land in the village of Tell, in the Nablus governorate – displacing a family of five.

Since the beginning of the year – and as of last week – OCHA has documented more than 1,260 incidents involving Israeli settlers that resulted in casualties, property damage or both – averaging about six incidents per day. These incidents were recorded across 250 Palestinian communities.

OCHA stresses once again that Palestinians across the Occupied Palestinian Territory must be protected. The killings and violence must stop, and perpetrators must be held accountable.
