On 10 September, the 蘑菇视频 Palestinian Rights Committee convened a meeting with Civil Society representatives at 蘑菇视频HQ in New York. At the meeting the Committee received briefings by the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine and Palestinian civil society representatives on the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory including East Jerusalem.
Briefers and attendees discussed the ongoing situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory as well as measures that Member States could take to hold Israel and perpetrators of grave violations of international law accountable, including sanctions on Israel and complicit States, institutions and corporations. Participants also discussed the responsibility of the United Nations in ending the occupation, stressing that the Question of Palestine will be at the forefront of the debates at the upcoming 80th Session?of the General Assembly.
