The 蘑菇视频 Palestinian Rights Committee delegation visited Paris, France on 4 May 2026. The Delegation consisted of Amb. Coly Seck (Chair, Permanent Representative of Senegal), Amb. Penda A. Naanda (Vice-Chair, Permanent Representative of Namibia), Min. Riyad Mansour (Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine), and Amb. Daylenis Moreno Guerra (Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba). Meetings were held at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Assembly.
During the meeting with the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Commission and France-Palestine Friendship Group (pictured below), the Committee delegation highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in translating legal positions on the Question of Palestine into policy-relevant pressure tools, including at the EU level. It was also underscored that parliamentary scrutiny of arms exports, grounded in the Arms Trade Treaty and international humanitarian law, contributed to tighter French export authorizations and reinforced the principle that transfers should not proceed where there is a clear risk of serious violations.
In a meeting with counterparts from the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for the Middle East and North Africa & Director for the United Nations (pictured below), the Committee delegation expressed appreciation for France’s leadership on the Question of Palestine, particularly its co-chair role (with Saudi Arabia) in the 2025 Conference on the Two-State Solution and its decisive role in shaping and advancing the “New York Declaration“. The Chair also welcomed France’s recognition of the State of Palestine (October 2025) as a political act fully consistent with the “New York Declaration’s” objective of translating political commitments into irreversible steps toward statehood.
