The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, H.E. Mr. Manuel Tovar on 29 May 2026. The President of the General Assembly and the Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed current challenges for multilateralism, as well as the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ80 reform initiative.
The President of the General Assembly commended Costa Rica for its firm support to the United Nations, rules-based international order and for its promotion of environmental sustainability, inclusive social development and human rights.
