The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with?H.E. Mr. Michael G. Waltz, Representative of The United States to the United Nations,?in his capacity as?the?incoming President of the United Nations Security Council for the month of March on 26 February 2026.

The President of the General Assembly and the incoming President of the Security Council discussed the programme of work for the United States¡¯ Presidency of the United Nations Security Council, which will begin on 1 March 2026, including the important focus on strengthening the cooperation and coordination between the Security Council and the General Assembly.
