New York, 1 August 2025 – The President of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Philemon Yang, will travel to?Awaza, Turkmenistan, to attend?the Third Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries?(LLDC3), which will take place from 5 to 8 August 2025.

The Conference offers a unique opportunity to explore solutions and forge partnerships, addressing the special challenges and unlocking the full potential of the 32 Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) for a more equitable and prosperous future. He will also attend the Official Welcoming Ceremony hosted by H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, and speak at the Parliamentary Forum and the Youth Forum.

During the visit, the President will also hold bilateral meetings with H.E. Ms. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, the State Minister for International Cooperation of Qatar, and Ms. Rabab Fatima, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Under- Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States.

The costs of the visit are borne by Turkmenistan, the host country and the OPGA Trust Fund.
