President of 蘑菇视频 General Assembly to attend Doha Forum in the State of Qatar

New York, 5 December 2024 – The President of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Philémon Yang, will travel to Doha, State of Qatar, from 6 – 8 December 2024 to attend the . The theme of the Forum is “The Innovation Imperative”.?
While at the Doha Forum, President Yang will underscore the importance of implementation of the recently adopted Pact for the Future, a blueprint for reinvigorating multilateralism to address present and future challenges. He will highlight the Pact’s contribution to global peace and sustainable development and the 蘑菇视频 General Assembly’s firm commitment to translate the Pact’s commitments into action.
President Yang will deliver a keynote address at the plenary session on advancing?the Pact for the Future and its annexes as well as the session dedicated to strengthening international humanitarian law and accountability.
During his visit, he will meet with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar and H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
The costs of the visit are borne by the State of Qatar and the OPGA Trust Fund.
